This is your opportunity to shape the California Democratic Party….plan to go to this election, if you live in California Assembly District 1 (most of North Auburn, Colfax, Weimar, Foresthill, Applegate, Meadow Vista up to Truckee/Tahoe), and vote for the 14 people you want to be your delegates at the upcoming Convention for the 2020 election!

Doors open at 12:30, candidate speeches will begin at 1 pm.  It’s being held at the Seaman’s Lodge in Nevada City.

You can register and start voting for your choice of delegates at 1:30 and registration and voting close at 3:30.

AADC members Leslie Vera, Terry Rodriques and Tomas Vera are running for ADEM in this district so go support AADC members to represent you.

    The governor is saying he’s going to fix education – hahahaha.

    First fix the system – something legislators refuse to do.

    1. I agree with you Dennis. When i was a 4th grade student in Long Beach, CA, long before Prop 13, I experienced education the way it should be. A kind and caring teacher, a principal who stayed late to tutor us, frogs and turtles and pineapple tops growing. It was a far cry from my previous years in Georgia and New York City, where corporal punishment was the norm and no student ever heard an encouraging word. I too very much hope that someone with some vision for the future will come along and make the case that our future depends on strong education. And of course that person will be a Democrat!
